Even very successful business people can be approached and are more than willing to share their expertise or help out with advice. Similar to Austria, most organizations thrive to internationalize on an early-stage already given the small domestic market.

Review of go Tel Aviv 2016

In May 2016, eight selected Austrian early-stage startups got the chance to participate in a 4-week incubation program in Tel Aviv. The participants got unique insights through workshops on the competitive landscape, the latest financing opportunities as well as intellectual property rights. Together with our partner AUSSENWIRTSCHAFT Austria and the local institutions Academic College of Tel Aviv Jaffa and the Startuphub-Program, GIN provided the startups with field experience mentoring, given that over 40 renowned lecturers and corporates were part of the program including Microsoft Ventures, FoundersNation, PwC, The Junction Startup Acceleration and many more.

The first batch took eight successful Austrian startups on board who pointed out the great possibilities offered by the program for the expansion to Israel. Further, the acceleration program provides support for the proof-of-concept as well as access to financing options.

As a program is best evaluated by those that have already taken part in it, here are a few statements:

  • "Austrian organizations in Israel make the program unique"
  • "Mentoring and networking activities were really precious for us"

The following 8 startups were part of the first batch:
